PRP and iPRF Vampire Facial
A Vampire Facial is an advanced microneedling treatment with the addition of using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Platelet Rich Fibrin (iPRF). It’s a very holistic treatment as it uses your body’s own plasma with nothing added.

Microneedling creates micro-trauma to the skin, stimulating a healing response and by pushing the PRP into the skin it increases and accelerates the results and regeneration.

Platelet Rich Plasma is a minimally invasive and natural but very effective option for skin rejuvenation. A small blood collection is taken from the arm and then spun in a machine called a centrifuge. This separates the red blood cells from the plasma which holds the platelets, leukocytes, proteins and growth factors in the fibrin matrix. These are important components in a Vampire Facial as they are what heals and restores the skin.

Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin is the same treatment plan to PRP as above, but the preparation protocol is slightly different.

Slightly more blood is required as the blood is spun in a different way in the centrifuge, which results in less, but more concentrated plasma. This means the iPRF is higher in growth factors, therefore is more potent and can yield better results.
Whilst results can be seen after just one treatment, more sessions may be required depending on your skin, reason for treatment and your goals. For specific skin conditions and concerns, on average three to six treatments are recommended spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Once your goal is met, a maintenance treatment every 6 – 12 months is recommended.
