Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as ‘collagen induction therapy’ is a minimally invasive procedure that is used to improve the appearance and texture of your skin as well as treat a variety of skin conditions and concerns such as dull skin, acne scarring, scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, pigmentation and sun damaged skin. Further to treating specific concerns, microneedling can be done for it’s anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation benefits which results in radiant skin.

It works by causing microtrauma with tiny needles to stimulate collagen production and activating the skin’s natural wound healing process. This encourages the skin to create new tissue in order to heal the wound. Through this process, fibroblasts in the skin are stimulated. These are the cells that create collagen in order to make new tissues. The increased amount of collagen gives a firmer and more youthful appearance.

Microneedling also creates channels in the skin that increase product absorption, and so this treatment can be tailored to

each individual by choosing products and serums that their skin will benefit from. Microneedling can be done on the face and body. It is minimal to zero discomfort and leaves you with glowing, healthy skin. Whilst results can be seen after just one treatment, more sessions may be required depending on your skin, reason for treatment and your goals. For specific skin conditions and concerns, on average three to six treatments are recommended spaced 4 weeks apart. Once your goal is met, a regular maintenance treatment is recommended to sustain results.
